2009 Financial Plan (1700-13)

RECOMMENDATIONS:

That Council approve a $500.00 contribution to the Capital Regional District Pesticide Education Program, and


That Council approve a financial contribution of $250.00 to the Fort Rodd Hill and Fisgard Lighthouse Canada Day Celebration (St. John’s Ambulance); $500.00 to the 848 (Royal Roads) Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron; $1500.00 to the RCMP Crime Prevention and Bike Patrol and $525.00 to purchase a ¼ page full colour advertisement in the Legion Military Service Recognition Book.

The following is being reported on from the April 6, 2009 In Camera Meeting:


That Ellie Rayner and Colleen Robertson be reappointed to the Advisory Planning Commission and that the District continue to advertise for the two remaining vacant positions in the Highlands Newsletter,


That appoint Ellie Rayner, Rachael Sansom and Gord Baird be appointed to the Community Centre Task Force and that the District continue to advertise for the two remaining vacant positions in the Highlands Newsletter, and


That Mary Nall be appointed as the District of Highlands’ liaison between the District of Highlands and the West Shore Literacy Now Program.
