The District of Highlands is taking the following steps to ensure ongoing provision of District Services:
District business operations and service delivery continue, with priority placed on essential services.
Beginning Wednesday, March 18, access to the District Office will be limited to by appointment only. The public is encouraged to contact the District Office by phone at 250-474-1773 or email at email@example.com.
With public safety as a priority, the following District meetings have been cancelled until further notice:
Council will meet only once per month on the first Monday of the month until further notice (this does not include July or August as those meeting dates are established as July 13 and August 17). The District is developing procedures to allow electronic participation by members of Council.
Committee of the Whole Meetings - these are usually held the second Monday of each month - until further notice these meetings are cancelled.
District of Highlands Select Committee meetings are cancelled until further notice.
All meetings that do occur will be held at the Highlands Community Hall, 729 Finlayson Arm Road - this will allow for social distancing
If you wish to appear as a delegation at a Council meeting, you are encouraged to submit your comments in writing rather than attending in person to enhance social distancing efforts to reduce the spread of the virus.
